We had our first rains last night and it came with a vengeance ... torrential with high winds, so much so that it ripped the roof off Faro airport over the check-in desks at 5am. All flights cancelled in and out and chaos everyone. Five injured. It's currently sunny, breezy and 22c but more wind and rain is supposedly on it's way.

Nice fairly sunny day here. Breezy but nice and mild out. Good day to potter.

I'm going to water my crops this evening with the last of the water in the butts which should ensure that rain forecast actually falls tonight. My soil is dry down to at least a spade's depth (been planting fruit trees & bushes).

What started out as a lovely day has turned into a wet and windy one !

It's been 18 degrees and sunny until about an hour ago when the rain came, the winds are blowing it away though and the sky doesn't look particularly bad so here's hoping it passes over quite quickly.

Can we plllleeeeaaaasssseeee have some of the rain that some are experiencing; I'm sure Derbyshire is living in a bubble this year  :D

It's been a breezy and mild day today with hazy sunshine.....there was just a hint of rain towards dark, hopefully we'll get some because I'm still watering some stuff and it's nearly November

It has been pouring with rain here for the best part of three weeks. Gale force winds for the last two days aswell, growing to severe gale last night and right now. Absolute misery! :(

Yeah i've noticed I've had to pick up some pots that haven't budged until now....and that's since spring.....mind you it gets fairly gusty round the back of the house facing the field.....plus they aren't watered as frequently now.:heehee:

Has the weather stopped you in the garden sheal?

    Garden! What's that CosmosGuy?

Ah yes, it's those green patches outside back and front doors! :heehee:
Can't get anywhere near, high winds and bog under foot and also probably minus some plants after tonight!

I'll just carry on with my curtain making for the time being and hope it all blows itself away. :)

Well we finally got some rain through the night, not a great deal but have to be 'thankful for small mercies', it'll have wet the ground enough to turn the dust back in to soil :D
