Penny i don't know how you cope with 6 months snow .. a couple of weeks is more than enough for me.

It is mild here in Northumberland, i hope it stays that way!

Same here sunny afternoon and very mild.
Are we going to pay for all this unusually warm weather? last November it was freezing and frost most days.

I remember picking peas in november last year, thinking it was good for the time of year, then suddenly there was 4 inches of snow on the ground.

Yes I believe it was generally quite mild last year too, I'm sure round here it went from 12-15 degrees during the day to barely rising above freezing (daytime) and as low as -10 (night) within the space of 3 or 4 days, trees still hanging on to their leaves and plants with fresh growth on them were caught out big time :rolleyespink:

I still keep hearing that we're in for another bad winter but the next week to 10 day forecast is for more mild days round here, 10-15 degrees, no frost but just the odd night forecast to drop to 3 or 4 degrees.

Today here has been cooler and overcast; maximum 9.5 degrees but no breeze so it's been ideal to be out in the garden again :thumb:

Well, it looks as though I might find out about winter this year :rolleyespink:. I've missed the snow and cold for the last two years as I was up the Amazon last year and traipsing through Indonesia the year before. It's going to be a shock to my system :heehee:

Penny, my daughter had a sprinkling of snow in Vancouver yesterday. Apparently the ski slopes are opening up too.

Sunny here this morning, overcast this afternoon. 11c.
