Wow! You've had it tough up there Jack.

We were promised storm force and we came close. Here, now at 9pm it's just starting to ease, but still very strong. I think we'll have lost a good few trees around the island.

We've had it pretty easy down here in the soft south.

Around 7 last night we got the heavy rain and driving winds but the rain only lasted 10 minutes. Although the wind was strong enough to take down a few trees it had eased up by 11.30 and, on my drive home, the temperature was 8C.

Now we have almost no wind and the sun is coming up.

Today is clear Sunny and no wind. More of the same please.

It's 2.37pm and the temperature is 42f with a sharp edged breeze. A quick look tells me the sky is full of puffy dark grey clouds moving at a pace from the West. Moved some Irises in pots into the Green House in case they're right about the forecast of Frost.:D

Shiney, are you living on some sort of desert island down there? :heehee: Your weather seems to be different to the rest of Britain. :)

Well, the island survived the battering yesterday. Surprisingly no great damage. Today it's been sunny, windy and really cold. The car was reading 3-4c.

I don't think so Armandii. But due to the wind direction we are now a bit closer to Scotland. :heehee:

              Heading your way Jack! :loll:

Cold and sunny today with broken cloud.

Shineyland is, officially, in the driest part of the country and even within that we seem to have a bit of our own climate. :dbgrtmb:

This morning started off very frosty but the sun was up with the dawn and soon cleared it. We've had a beautiful day today and the temperature reached 54F in the main part of our garden. That part has its own microclimate because of the layout of it and is quite a bit warmer than the bottom half of the garden. :dancy:
