A beautiful, sunny, spring like day today and out without a coat. :sunny: Temperature hit 11C briefly. It's now 9.30pm and 2C. More of the same tomorrow apparently.

i think that in Iceland right now it is colder than displayed in your chart.

Generally speaking the north centre-west (between the letters "t" and "e"
in your chart) tend to be the mildest part of Iceland because it is like a deep fjord, and that is where a lot of trees grow.

The light of the sun rising through the mist is like the warm, soft glow of a young maiden's cheek :love30:

Sorry! I've been writing a little bit of poetry this morning and haven't changed modes properly :heehee:

            Early this morning, minus 17.
            High temperature at minus 2.
Right now (8:00 PM), minus 3.
Probably the cold is going to finish.
But - I guess - it's going to finish in a slow way.
My region is in a flat low land sorrounded by high mountains.
So the cold could be trapped for many days.
They could be foggy days in that the air could be colder at lower altitude, being it trapped.
On TV they say that snowfalls are due to occur thursday or friday...
I personally do like this weather.
I do not like if I have to work outdoor.
Indeed it is a serious problem for all homeless people. Yes it is.

looks like your location has a microclimate as it is colder than UK overall.
Indeed I remember that London itself has different temperatures within its urban area. When I lived there in 1998, I remember some parts of the city being rainy others being snowy...

Furthermore, when living in Iceland, you realize to live near the artic only in summer.
In winter, Iceland is certainly not the coldest part of the world.
            Countless countries are colder.
For example, most of China, most of USA, Corea, Mongolia, Kazakistan, Uzbekistan, Ucraine, Romania, etc.
Not to mention all those northern countries as Russia, Canada, Sweden, Finland, etc.
