Sobranie Cocktail... used to smoke them every Christmas with my Mum... wonderful tobacconists in Bristol used to sell them and a whole host of amazing tobacco products. Made a change from her bloody silk cut! Those coloured ciggies make me think of christmas.... and my dear old Ma. :sunny:

My old grandad was a stoker in the navy, many, many moons ago. I can remember when we used to visit him he'd be sitting in a cloud of smoke. He sat in his old armchair carving off tobacco from what looked like a wax block to me (Thick Condor Twist) and pressing it into his pipe. Smelt like old socks burning, yuk!
He smoked that stuff from the age of fourteen up until he died at 89 years old. No! that didn't kill him, he stopped taking his medication which did!

There were cigs called Passing Clouds, weren't they the oval ones, looked kind of squashed? Also Du Maurier which I smoked because I liked the box which they came in!!!!! :o When you're 17 you are easily impressed!!!! :heehee:

Run out of yellow now, found some brown to drink, which tastes a lot stronger:cheers:

Somewhere, i've got a collection of old faag packets that i've found in buildings over the years, if I can find them i'll scan them in. Things like players navy cut with "Hero" on the front.

When I was much younger and still lived at home, I had a collection of treetreetree packets in the drawer under my bed. One day my dad went in to look for something, and found loads of empty Regal Kingsize boxes. After seeing that, he hazarded a wild guess, that maybe I'd taken up smoking.

I found a Fez in the boy's draw a few days ago, I was worried that he'd taken up Tommy Cooper impersonations.
