This afternoon saw my greenhouse 95% completed, a little more strengthening and the cover was put on and tied in place. The good thing about this cover is it's a reinforced one with thread running through the plastic rather than the cheap clear ones so I hoping I should get a few years out of it.

The bottom of the cover on the outside over laps on the patio so I'm getting some bricks (free :D) to put around it to tidy it up and hold it place a bit more. All that remains to do is put some fleece on the inside for extra insulation....

I have already moved plants in there that will require that bit of winter protection...when we get one :D, but until then it'll stop the neighbourhood squirrel digging in them...

    I'll take some photos tomorrow...:thumb:

Its looking good Bilbo :dbgrtmb: The centre strut you have put in is a good touch , it will improve the rigidity tenfold. Post some pics when you get the cover on .
In mid summer when all the plants are out , roll the sides up , and it will make a fantastic circular BBQ bar ! :happydance:

Here's the pics; just got to put some fleece on the inside which should be easy to hang off the framework and some bricks around the outsid to hold the overlapping cover down..

Also popped a thermometer on the centre pole :D

I'm very happy with this little project and its another winter job chalked off.....next.........

As long as the weather works we will continue with our pond project. Currently in the middle of building a shed for the filters. Hopefully get the roof finished and tiled this weekend.

Other jobs to fit in include building a deck, more blockwork, clearing a pile of dug out chalk...

All depending on weather and temperatures

Well I've added some fleece today, very easy job, just a case of trapping it between the cover and the frame, just need to pick up another packet tomorrow from Home Bargains at 99p :thumb:

I know it doesn't offer tremendous insulation if temperatures plummet below -5 or so but it's better than nothing :D

Are you just going to use fleece, Bilbo, or will you use some bubblewrap?? You've certainly made a good job of it all. Well done, Mate.

Well from last Thursday until last Saturday my "blow away" got well and truly tested by some nasty winds buffeting it good and proper, it survived unscathed :yess:, I now have large pieces of stone covering the overlapping cover on the patio (looks quite attractive :D).

I have overcome some early teething problems of a couple of pots sliding off the shelves during windy weather by simply attaching good old garden canes with cable ties to the edges of the shelves stopping anything sliding off, this was well and truly tested over the last few days and nothing moved :thumb:

Armandii, I do have some large cell bubble wrap that I may fix in too to give it more insulation, the other day though it was 6 degrees outside and almost 11 degrees in the greenhouse so that was promising

It sounds like you've got it right, Bilbo, with the Greenhouse:D:thumbsup: If it's stood the test of some nasty winds and stayed in one place and together that's brilliant, well done:yess:

I've noticed that in my uninsulated Greenhouse it has stayed around 52f-56f with outside temperatures of 46f. I will get around to putting some bubblewrap up as it does make a difference.:D

As part of my Autumn plans I planted 3 Honeysuckles, H. Repens, Tellmanian and Belgica by the sides of the Arbor alongside the Roses Alchemist and Compassion. I've got another Honeysuckle to get to make it two either side.............any recommendations anyone???:D

Well after all the recent storms my little "blow-away" DIDN'T blow away :D, we had someones full shed roof plant itself in our veg patch and yet my greenhouse never budged, no damage at all, nothing even fell off the shelf, so I'm a very happy bunny
