Hello, i am new to gardening (and forums) and i have a couple of plant/weed identification questions. The first is that i brought a cut price viburnum and it appears to have an imposter growing along side it, i have attached a photograph, it has green leaves with red stems, its quite attractive.

The second is a weed that is at large in my lawn, it has clustered tuba roots and appears in the spring with yellow flowers. I am keen to know what it is so i can hopefully get rid of it, i have spent a long time picking out the roots (image attached) but i am hopeful there is an easier solution.

I look forward to gardening enlightenment

oh definitely they really brighten the garden up in early spring and some of the wild variations are quite nice as well

Thank you for the identification and advice, i will tackle the viburnum this weekend, along with project lawn!

I'm glad to hear the celadines are liked by some as i will have quite a few in Feb!

            Thanks all :)
