    Hi Spruce

Yes I have to work on a 2 year rotation as the room is quite limited.

    Thanks

[Geek mode on] Did you know rotavator is the longest palindrome in the English language? [Geek mode off] :o

I like that for two reasons:

      1. I like useless information, and in fact have collected loads of it so far.
      2. Now I know the correct spelling of rotavator for the first time.:dbgrtmb:

      Hi folks.

Personally, I don't like rotavators. Reason being, I took on a plot that had been rotavated for years, and at a spades depth the ground was solid. Obviously, it's quick and easy, but I wouldn't want to use one long term. Just my thoughts :)

      Cheers...Freddy.

      Hi Freddy

I know what you mean, I don't think it is a full replacement for the fork but when I harvest the potatoes it does get a good break up then. I am always suprised at how much effort is required to use the rotavator and some of the ground between the rows where the potatoes were grown was solid so I broke that up with a fork before using the rotavator and that certainly helped.
      Thanks

      Dave
