Willow is growing the poisonous variety as she knows her mum like them.:heehee:

Hers has not done so well, keeps growing downwards & sending roots out from the branch tips:what:

Ziggy the branches on these are going crazy, some have snapped off in the winds despite tying them. We did contemplate the Chinese lanterns, are these what she's growing?

Will these presumably be ok until the first frost?

The taste is quite unique I'd say, but more pleasant than I'd envisaged. :yess:

CG, if you pick the fruit when the husk is light brown, you can store the fruit for a few months in a cool place, up till Christmas is possible if dry.

                They become even sweeter then.:WINK1:

Thanks, we'll give it a try as theres three and theyre very large with plenty of fruit forming. I quite like hunting for the ones buried in foliage! I hope they do get sweeter, hmm I wonder if you could make jam with them?

Took a few photo's of the gooseberries at the weekend, most of the fruit is buried away out of sight, but you get more of an idea of the scale :heehee:

As you can see Sabre was keeping me company too :heehee:

Haha, yes you're right!! Always has to be about, but if you try and get their attention, they act as if they're not really that interested and they just happened to be there!!
