    speaking of which ...

recently there was a thread here, stating that Tesco's were going to sell some type of potato that is highly prized and fetches high prices on the market (cannot remember the name of the potato, or the thread)

apparantly, the potatoes would be sold when they were ready (that was several weeks ago)

so .... daily, I look at what is available as regards Tesco potatoes when I shop at our village Tesco (which is a fairly large store) ... and still nothing?

it's getting to winter now .... so any news yet on when they should be available?

Sounds just like these which seem outrageous @ £6.64/kg - Grow your own!

Been away for a bit so just catching up with some of the posts.
My early Arran Pilot were superb this year as were the mid season Charlottes , so much so that I saved some seeds and sowed them much later, hoping for a harvest in 3 - 4 weeks time. The tops look good so I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

'Exclusive' La Bonnotte potatoes worth £400 a bag to be sold at Tesco | Metro.co.uk

    I bought a couple of Kilo's Saturday
but I did not like the shape of them so chucked them out :-) yeah right

I think the story is all about copies of Jersey Royals without the copywright infringement
