Mine would have to be the sedums, penstemons and favourite of all cimicifuga, amazing scent, have to keep going for a sniff, and of course all the daylilies that are giving one final fling:D

I have an Orange Alstromeria that stands about 30" tall and has been flowering since May. Even in the winds it just sways and recovers. Its been my best performer all summer.
Recently I noticed a gap at the root (a section seemed to be standing wide of the main clump). I put a spade through it, lifted it, flowers and all, and transplanted in the front garden under the wall - in direct view from the Lounge window.
After 2 weeks the flowers are still loud and proud. I dont think it realises it has been moved.
I didn't know how to take cuttings from it, but job done. Whats more you don't notice any different on the main plant.

Other Alstromeria I have are dwarf varieties (about 8") and are still full of flower.

Both varieties seem to have spread from last year. I'm pleased with them:thumbsup:

The cosmos are looking brilliant at the minute, tons of flowers, and more to come, well until first frost anyway. Really seem to come on this time of year. I have a few types this year, some mixed, double click, sweet kisses and phoenix. These high winds might put an end to a few of them though :heehee:

Catztail, oh how I am looking forward to those brugs next year :D:heehee:

It 's got to be Nicotiana. The first time I have grown these and they are still in full bloom.

Genie2312 Hope you manage to get lots of new ideas into your garden :dbgrtmb:

Just found this pic of some of my cosmos a few weeks back, Lots more blooms on them now though.

Also my Colchicum ' The Giant.' Looking brilliant. A first for me this year, shoved it in a pot to see how it would do. Was inspired by a lot of the woodland gardens in the highlands....they seemed to have lots of these naturalised here and there. Their's were the smaller type though.

Sorry I tried to add these as thumbnails, but couldn't work out how through photobucket.
