        Hello everyone :)

I've cleared the plot now, I burnt off the big pile of weeds and roots, (which caused a bit of an uproar, oops) :o
But now have a clear plot which I've already double dug and raked over, its a very sandy soil, so I've taken some samples to test for pH and see how the soil settles in water.

Thats about it really, we had a little rain last night but not much, so dry up here, waiting for some turf I cut earlier in the year to rot down so I can add it to the plot.
In a bit I think I'll pop down to the local garden centre and see about finding a price for some manure as well as a few other things.

Pictures when I can find a camera that works now, lol.

          Evening all :)

Been a while, but I've managed to get lots of manure for the plot, which is already dug in, with some left over for areas that require a little more than one bucket per square yard.
I need to get lots of post in place for my Gooseberry cordons, espalier apples trees, and raspberry plants.

Still on the look out for lots of pallets too. :heehee:

Some of people living nearby I think Ziggy, one of the holders has family who back onto the allotments, its no worries, but then it did burn for two days.

Please excuse the photo's the only way I can load them onto here, is to bluetooth with a screen grab, load onto the iPhoto, and then upload. :rolleyespink:

I time my bonfires, only at night & not when the wind is blowing towards the houses. But I do have open fields to one side & so far the sheep haven't complained:heehee:

                Thanks ARMANDII :)

Yes it is very addictive Steve :)

No cucumber as of yet, not sure I want to bother, we'll see, I might have my arm twisted by the other half.

Got some green Calabrese in a packet tucked away somewhere sensible, but yes, it seems I forgot the Atena Polka Courgettes :gaagh:

Guess I'll have to put them on order again. :heehee:

                  Afternoon all :)

Been a busy few months, baby imminent, family health issues, marriage, and the allotment is kicking off, plus studying for RHS exams.
Think my Blackcurrents may well have reversion virus too, but I've been warming up my soil for a month now, planted garlic, onions, carrots, parsnips, spinach a little while ago, plus lots of seed sown in a makeshift mini greenhouse/cloche in propagators.

Anyway thought it about time to update as its been so long now, where does the time go ? !

Apple Blossom on the Cox's is not far off from popping out, can't believe it started out from such an overgrown plot.
