    Good morning everyone,

Its cooler here today, and supposed to get some snow later on.

I'm home today, so i need to do some laundry and some cleaning, nothing major though.

    Morning Everyone,

Kandy, I should imagine that looks lovely with the broom and the primroses out on the lottie. I hope your back stood up to it ok. At least it shows spring is not far away although I suspect we are going to see some real winter before we get there.

Take care everyone and have a good day. :):sunny:

    Good morning everyone,

It's not quite so spring like out there this morning. The sun is trying to brighten up the skies and the wind is picking up.

Moyra, I hope your check up from the vet went OK :heehee:

I've a busy day today. I have to go into town to sort out a few problems for the people I help, do the shopping for the food for the students this weekend and then I've got to get ready for this evening. It's the annual dinner and dance for our bridge club and I have to get there early to greet everyone as they arrive and I need to prepare a little speech :( :help: to welcome everyone and do a load of thank you's. It's a problem making sure I don't leave anyone out .

I'm also running a quiz in a few weeks and am working hard on the questions. My brain hurts!!! :heehee:

    Have a great day :D

Been stuck indoors today but the kitchen is coming along nicely. At least my son visited and brought Princess along so I was happy :D She is such a beautiful dog and is so happy and confident since she has been with us all. I love her to bits.

      Have a good evening everyone.

      Good morning everyone,
I hope you are all okay....
Moyra i take it the vet didn't take your temperature:heehee: sorry couldn't resist....:D really pleased Amber is doing well, they grow so fast don't they..Theo is almost back to full speed ,he has his final check up at the end of the month....we still daren't let them both out in the garden together unless Theo is on his lead because they think it's the grand national course when they are together:rolleyespink: i must get over this nervousness as i feel mean. They wrestle with each other in the house but out in the garden there is too much space for them to run riot in....
Best get ready for work so take care everyone:dbgrtmb:
      ps...i'm missing Woo....

      Good morning everyone,

There's a sharp frost out there but the sky is clear and it will be a beautiful sunny day.

Loli, it's good to hear that Theo is doing well . You must be concerned that he may overdo things but I'm sure he'll be OK. I'm sure the vet will give him the all clear.

The dinner dance went very well yesterday :hapfeet: and the venue, in the village, coped marvellously with the 98 of us. The food was very good and we had a choice of five things at each course. There aren't many places that allow that number of people to pick what they want when they are seated at the table. Most places would want to know a few weeks in advance.

I was very happy with my negotiations yesterday about getting Barry moved. The local authority finally agreed to do some more things to help. As well as paying for the removal costs and the taking down and re-erecting of his shed and running power to it (for his mobility scooter) they have now agreed to pay the cost of disconnecting and reconnecting his gas cooker and washing machine. They've also agreed to move the plumbing to the other side of the kitchen as his washing machine wouldn't fit in the existing place. On top of that, they have now agreed to redecorate the lounge as it was in very poor condition. :yahoo:

I've also now organised a lot of appointments with mortgage brokers and banks for one of the girls (she's 45 now) that used to work for me, as the mortgage that was arranged for her by her solicitor when she got divorced (hubby had run up 80k of debt from gambling) is not really suitable. I'll be doing the negotiating for her this time.

Well, I had better be getting on with sorting out quiz questions :heehee:

In money slang, how much is a 'Pavarotti'?

      Have a great day :D

      Good morning everyone

Shiney sounds like you had a good evening at your do and glad that everything went off ok:thumbsup:Also glad to hear that things are moving along with Barry and no doubt he will be comfortable when he gets settled in:)Hope all goes well with helping your friend with her finacial difficulties.

Moyra, glad that all is wel with Amber and hope that your gout has settled down a bit now.My aches and pains have been quiet bad this week but have found the Piroxicam gel has really helped.I could do with living in a hot copuntry in the winter months but the chances of me getting to one is pretty remote now that they are all have worse finacial problems than blighty:DI have found since we bought a new bed the other year my sciatica isn't a problem any more but I still have to not over do things on the lottie:D

Loli,Woo has been visiting the site so I expect he is busy at the moment getting the garden prepared for this comings growing season. There always seems lots to do in one way or another:)Hope you get your work situation sorted out if you have any problems:thumbsup:

Well,i went out into the garden yesterday afternoon and took photo of my snowdrop and aconite buds and also go a couple of photos of my winter box flowers and also my double xmas rose that has been in flower for well over a month.I also have a yellow and an orange poppy of the meconopsis type in flower plus polyanthus so the garden looks a bit colourful, well it would if the sparrows stopped shredding my poly flowers:D

We never had the expected frost but it is bitter out there but we have blue skies and what looked like a really good sunrise this morning but I couldn't be bothered to go and stand in the cold with my camera.I must be getting old:D

Roll on when we get some snow:heehee:

      Have a good day everyone:)

Morning Folks, Good to see WOO pop his head in. Thank you WOO we missed you.

Loli, I'd be like Amber now if they want to know her temperature they just read her chip! Clever isn't it. Immediate temperature reading on her identity chip. No more undignified intrusion. She made me laugh when they first did that to her. The look on her face told a story. I am glad Theo is more or less back to normal but I can understand your reticence to allow him out to play with your other dog.

Shiney, what a Godsend you are. That is marvellous work you have done on Barry's behalf and I am sure you will do equally well for your other friend too. Glad the bridge dinner went off ok sounds as though a good time was had by all.

Rumour has it that our friend who killed himself, his wife is going to have a closed funeral so only the very close family can go. That seems a terrible shame when Will had so many good friends who loved him like a brother. Steve said if they do have a closed funeral then him and all Will's other mates will get together at the Club and give him a send off that way. Shame but I suppose I can understand her feelings.:(

      Have a good day everyone.:)
