    Good morning everyone,

Moyra, glad to hear your friend had a good turnout.Anger is the next stage of bereavement and until the inquest no one will really know what really went on in his mind, that is if they do manage to find out the state of his mind at the time.My thoughts and prayers are will you all at this time:(

Shiney, glad your sisters party went off ok and that the music wasn't too loud.:thumbsup:I don't supose you will be celebrating your 70th when it gets here in a few years time:mute::D

Loli,it would be nice if everyone respected other peoples views on religon but sadly they don't and will often try to push theirs in your face.I used to be a great believer but after seeing the things that happen to people in the world it does make me wonder:(

Woo,hope you are getting on ok and taking each new day as it comes and looking forward to you posting again:dbgrtmb:

I had to go back to the hospital yesterday and the lady i saw was pleased with my gum problem, although i was hoping she would discharge me she wants me back in the clinic in three months time:gaagh: Have also been sorting out loads of old RHS magazines my friend gave me some time back and as i have now read them decided they had to go so we dropped them off at the tip on the way back from the hospital as they would be too heavy for the dustbin men to have to carry.Aren't I good:D

We had rain for most of the day yesterday but at least it stopped by the time we did our evening walk, and my sister in Devon has daffs in flower in her garden:D

    Enjoy your day everyone:)

    Good morning everyone,

It's dry again today :(. The forecast is now saying that the heavy rain that we were supposed to get yesterday and today isn't going to happen. Big deal - I could have told them that. Apparently it will now rain tomorrow!!!! :gaagh: Then it'll be sunny until the 3rd Feb.

Moyra, it sounds as though the funeral was quite upsetting as people couldn't understand why he did it. I suppose they'll never know :(.

I've been to a number of funerals where the deceased had not believed in religion and the hereafter. Most of them have been very nice celebrations of the person's life. With the last one we went to, everyone I spoke to thought that the woman that conducted the funeral was fantastic and made it seem as though he had been a very close friend. She spoke so warmly about him and, with the information about his life that she had been given, presented it in a lovely way. She's a retired Registrar and could have this as a second profession.

I've finished the revamp of the quiz and, with only 10 days to go we now have to work on organising the food for 100 people. Then will come the shopping, some other committee members do that, and then it will just leave the preparation of the food and the setting out of the hall in the afternoon and the setting up of the sound system, projector and computer just before the start.

Either today or tomorrow I'll go and see how Barry is getting on and how far Tina has got with sorting out her mortgage.

I may do some pottering around in the garden.

    Have a great day :D

I suppose because I am a humanist/spiritualist and believe in the recycling of souls going on to another life. It is difficult because I believe in Science and science tells us that atoms change but energy doesn't .........so I see the body as an overcoat that we take off when we die and our souls go on either to be reincarnated or to greater things. I appreciate that people all think differently. My son does not believe like I do in a greater power which for want of a better word I refer to as God. I believe in Mother Nature and Father Time. So a rather peculiar type of belief system. Sort of wrapped up in Judism, Buddism and a Spirituatlism. But it covers all angles for me. My son believes in the powers of Nature. I don't want to believe that you live and then you die and that the time you live is so miniscule to the time the world has evolved. There doesn't seem much sense to the scheme of things if that is all there is. Now you all know me or how I tick. Lol an oddity maybe as I know I am eccentric but that is an Aquarius for you.:WINK1:

A very admirable belief and way to conduct your life :dbgrtmb: :love30:.

I have noticed that as people get closer to the end of their lives they tend to become more religious. Maybe they're just hedging their bets. :heehee:

          Good morning everyone,

I've just got back from London. Rather foggy for driving but not too bad. I'll be going up there again this afternoon. Mrs Shiney (at college all day), some friends and I shall be meeting late afternoon at Brick Lane (as in the film) and we'll do a bit of shopping and have a meal. Then on to the National Gallery for the Leonardo exhibition (bought the tickets at £16 each and they're selling for £100 - £200 :rolleyespink:). After that we may join in with the Chinese New Year celebrations.

Moyra and Penny, I hope you're feeling better :dbgrtmb:

Loli, I'm not sure about being on 'top form'. Nowadays I'd be happy to just be OK :heehee:. Happy birthday to the boys

          Have a great day :D

Thanks Shiney and everyone. Loli, Amber wanted to come round for the boys birthday party but she had to make do with walks with Banger the Labrador dog left behind by the friend who killed himself. How he could bear to be parted from his beloved Banger, he couldn't have been in his right mind.

Shiney I hope you enjoy all your schedule of entertainment it sounds like fun.

Feeling a bit brighter today, Penny I hope you are too.

Happy Chinese New Year to you all - Gung Hay Fat Choy:)
