Clueless, dim must be referring to the very 'accurate' :heehee: report about Betelgeuse. It looks as though it's on its way to going supernova and it can happen anytime from now until the next million years.

Quite a precise prediction :loll: :loll: :loll:. Even weather forecasters don't stretch things quite so much :D

The above pronouncement is by astrophysicists but the Mayans have also predicted a disaster for next year so the 'doom and gloom brigade' are tagging this to it.

To be fair to the Mayans, their mathematics and astronomy were superb and their architecture was pretty good. There are some amazing ruins at Chichen Itza and this was their observatory. It's quite fascinating wandering around the area.

Niburu (Planet X) ..... folklore or truth?

many people in different parts of the world have started seeing '2 suns' and there's lots of footage on youtube

should be good for gardening though, especially exotics ... my palms should thrive with twice as much warmth/light

I know many people that have seen two suns at the same time - but it may have been something to do with how much alcohol they have consumed. :heehee:

That video, whilst quite good, is typical of the special effects that can be generated artificially (sometimes naturally, refraction, sundogs etc) and, although there is a possibility that a nova would still be visible whilst the sun was up, it would be an almost infinitesimal chance that it would be exactly the same size and in the same position as our sun.

well, I hope you are correct .... just find it strange that many normal ordinary people are spotting this phenomenon in different parts of the world of late

a few years ago, no-one reported of saw this

then if so, why are NASA not making it public if it is indeed true (I have my own theory on that and it is not to cause mass panic)

we have also recently started seeing a pole shift which ties into all this

Sorry Woo a bit late in here, but smashing pics.. They are two all controlling features that no human can change it seems.. The sun to make us feel good & feed us.. The moon to control our daylight, tides & seas & of course both bound in mystery & folklore we love & are fascinated by.. Thanks for sharing Woo..:hapfeet:

Not quite sure about the reference to NASA . What is there to report on? Someone doing some nice but not too difficult video manipulation or some atmospheric distortions that have occurred for hundreds of years!!!!

Saying that these phenomena are only recent is not quite right. It is the simple fact that there are better communication facilities (the internet) that proliferate these so-called new events. A relation of mine (he's a professional photographer) makes it a hobby of producing mini videos that purport to show mysterious events, and then posts them on social media just for fun. He actually produced one of those double sun videos a couple of years ago. For all I know, that one could have been his.

When I was working at sea 50 years ago we saw many unusual, natural, sights that could easily have been interpreted as mysterious or potentially calamitous. Double suns were only one of these phenomena. I've seen a 'ghost' ship at night - which turned out to be another ship passing us and covered in ST Elmo's Fire. We could have been superstitious and said it was the devil's ship but we happened to be in radio communication with them and they could see exactly the same thing occurring to us :heehee:.
