BBC iPlayer - Jeremy Vine: 14/10/2011

As said before, I love the allotment slot on Radio 2, but Jeremy Vine always mentions Gardeners Click forums after the slot as if it is the only Gardening forum, which grates with me every week.

It took 2 more e mails, and he didn't mention Gardeners Corner, but for the first time ever, he said other Gardening Forums are available afterwards:dbgrtmb:

Well done Ziggy, I've never heard of him but as he works for the BBC surely he shouldn't be promoting any commercial ventures?

      Cheers John,

don't think its commercial, but it was annoying me that a single forum was getting a mention on national radio every week.

OH insists on having the World Service on throughout the night - says it helps him sleep. Useless to point out that having 'world music' blaring into my lughole at three in the morning isn't helping my slumbers.

I love listening to Terry Walton and subscrbe to his podcasts but I've always thought the other GC was missing something. Far too slow by the looks of things. Check out the dates on the front page posts. It's hardly motoring along.

Well done for upsetting the Vinester's apple cart, next step must be to get the true GC mentioned!? E-mail campaign anyone?

Have invited JV to visit the site to see what he thinks but I imagine that wouldn't get past his admin team (bet they've got a proper office:heehee:)

Think we have to do something big to get noticed.

How about Gardeners Corner making an enquiry to the De La Rue Company about how much it would cost to buy enough special paper to print 7 trillion "Stamps":WINK1:

                That might raise some eyebrows:heehee:

I've just had a quick look at GClick.
It only has 187 members. Thats less than has joined here in October.

How can it have such a profile - unless JV is a Founder? - possibly.

I see his picture and advert for his show is prominent on the front page.

I'll send him an invite to join if you like:thumbsup:

Whoops - jumped the gun - I've tweeted him.

You should check out Gardeners Corner Forum (10200 members) for your garden spot. It is very active & Internatational.

You can guarantee Jeremy has had a look see at our site, just out of curiousity

He is not going to promote other sites when his star Allotment provider is the main man on the forum he promotes

I like Terry Walton, he comes across as, a normal allotment owner like many on here and genuine
Good luck to the big bucks he is making now,There but for fortune go you or I

Err Terry's NOT DAI is he, Terrys just completed a gardening cruise and Canary Island garden visit for two weeks :heehee:
