I have to say I've absolutely no interest whatsoever in Michael Jackson or the circumstances surrounding his death, so I've not bothered to follow the trial - what I did think was a 'telling statement' was on (I believe) the BBC News when, on learning the verdict, the reporter said something to the effect ' ..... the fans have got the verdict they wanted'.

Mmmm - why do the words 'possible' and 'scapegoat' spring to mind?

I watched quite a lot of the court case and think he was clearly guilty of manslaughter from the start, it just got worste the further through the trail. Scapegoat lol!? NO.
I'm sorry if I payed that much for a doctor and that was the standard of care I received I think I would be a bit angry.

they mess up, make fools of themselves and someone has to be the fall guy to clear their name for the 'history books'

Jackson was a junkie .... end of

How is it his fault his doctor gave him an overdose of a drug he should not have been giving him? :D

If he was a junkie It's not "end off" ...It's help from professionals these days.

I followed the story from the beginning, then got bored with it

but, Jackson knew what drugs he was on and wanted more and more... if his doctor never gave them to him, he would have found a more 'willing' doctor (money talks)

he also cancelled several tours right at the end (before his death)

              he was a junkie

he was admitted into a drug rehab centre in 1993

thats my personal opinion based on what I have read

Undoubtably Michael Jackson was not in good health, but that is when it becomes even more important for his doctor to be careful in administering the medicines.

The £96,000 monthly wages -dr Murray wages for looking after his patient- should not interfere with the integrity that a doctor has to have regardless of the kick that he gets from his high wages and regardless of the unreasonable requests that he gets from his patient.

Apparently Michael Jackson referred to propofol as his "milk" he wanted this drug at night to knock himself out as he suffered from insomnia. Now who is gonna tell Michael Jackson what he can and cannot have??..............!!
The family are satisfied they have found someone to blame.

Any pregnant fish that dangles a baby over a balcony has lost his marbles.

He was stark staring bonkers, weird and out of touch with reality.
Could sing a bit, if only in a very high voice, and was at one time a bit of a dancer.
Will go down as a legend of pop, but somehow missed the boat.
Perhaps he would have been worth more, (to the record companies), if he had died younger.

He prescribed his patient a powerfull narcotic that your not allowed to prescribe outside of a hospital. He gave him a dose far higher than safely recommended. He kept no medical records what so ever. When jacko finally stopped briefing he was chatting on the phone to his girlfriend and when he did notice he was dead it took him twenty minutes to call an ambulance, whilst the ambulance is on the way he is busy bagging up all the empty bottles of drugs and trying to make it look like jacko killed himself.
And if that was your family you would not be a little unhappy about this?? :heehee:
I don't think anyone that thinks he has been made a "scapegoat" has payed any attention to the trial if watched it at all.

                  A scapegoat, for his parents
If he had not done it for £100k a month someonelse would

If he had dialled 911 and got the world involved Whacko may have lived and The Dr would be nailed for letting the family be seen for what they are

Whacko's parents started it and they will live with it

If you were paid £100k a month would you INTENTIONALLY let your employer DIE err let me think now

I do not know AMERICAN law, but even if it is four years, if it is prison it is better than a UK pensioner, and on release the millions from the book
                  I could live with that

                  Time out AND millions
