Unlucky you! I've never thought about people working on the night shift, what a bad deal, working an extra hour for no pay :cry3:

We won't get any benefit either, we are looking after our 2 baby grandaughters on Sat night and they don't give a fig for clocks.

I'm so glad I work flexitime. My current job and previous two jobs all feature flexitime, so I've got used to the idea that I adjust my body clock to get up extra early as the days get shorter, so in summer I can have a sleep in, then do my work, then still have some daylight. Then in autumn and winter I get up increasingly early, do my work, and finish early so I still get some daylight.

Summer time, 9-5. Dark nights, 8-4. If I could get away with it I'd do 6 til 2 every day through the winter, but 10 til 4 are core hours, so can't finish earlier than 4 no matter what time I start.

:) It's kind of sad that it will get dark so early in the day.........but then again there is something nice about shutting it all out and cuddling up in the warm with a nice cuppa or a beer or two and a seed catalouge.........:dbgrtmb: and of course Corrie....:thumb:

We are the only European country on the same time zone as the UK and currently our sunrise is 7.54am and our sunset at 6.39pm so we will also notice the difference.

Temperature currently is 19c .. now there is the difference .. and we find that very cool and are now wearing jeans and sweaters. :)

By complete coincidence, 19c is the temperature in my hot water tank after Poppie left the hot tap running for 2 hours:DOH::( No bath tonight then.

Not looking forward to the dark evenings, although it does give a little more scope for "Black Ops":WINK1:

I hate it when the clocks go back. The sudden dark evenings are a load of treetreetreetree. I always feel better when we pass December 21st and we're on the long climb back upwards ...

I feel the same way, Clara Lou, But I gritted my teeth and turned the clocks back at 9pm so I'm in a different time zone now!!:D
