      good post Jack

not sure what to make of this, but doubt that he left the quote for me to see ... was in his study in the intray, and when I walked into his study, I spotted it ... could not read the fine print, but saw the final price ... he did mention that he had a quote from someone else

all my work (including this one) is from word of mouth, so people have seen my work for the past 3 years as they are all mates ... difficult when clients know what you charged for other jobs

must say my style has changed considerably over the past 3 yrs (was 1st into cottage style, but my personal preference now is exotic/tropical, but can do both styles with confidence, and like both styles) .... am still learning, and I'm getting better

I will prepare a quote during the week, and will see what happens .... i will 'load' this one a bit more than what I normally do, but if he accepts my quote, I will do my best to do a really good job ...

I'm sure by shopping around, I will save on the buying prices, and put the savings towards buying larger palms etc

      I'm absolutely speechless :love30:

On a serious note and on the subject of life's crossroads. You don't doubt your own skills in gardening do you or are you just pondering future events?

no .... no probs with gardening .... just at the stage where I feel I need to do more, or include something new and different

I am in a rut now .... same routine day in and day out

I have a few plans for the new year

no ... just a life 'burp' .... gardening is a reasonable earner for me and I enjoy it (and still have lots to learn)....

just stuck in the same routine day in and day out ....

need to include something different into my daily schedule ... have a few ideas that I'm working on, and which may tie in nicely with the current schedule

I'm having one too, enjoying every minute of it although occasionally it gets a bit lairy.

In the meantime, who else to see us through!?
