Well, the car is still here. If there's a policeman on the forum who has mislaid his panda car, PM me and I'll tell you where to find it.

Ok, if you don't put a fake wheelclamp, then at least put a "Police Unaware" sticker on it.

The police round here have a 'clever' strategy, they put loads of signs like this all around the place, hope they'll scare all the crims away, but know their signs will get knicked if they're not chained down:

Finders keepers Clare. You should lay claim to it.

I don't know if the law has changed, but when I was a kid, if you handed something in to the coppers, you got a receipt. Then you went back after 14 days and if nobody had claimed it, you got to keep it.

I wonder if you can hand in a police car.

Skoda is a good make nowadays. It is actually Volkswagon now.

Still, what do you call a skoda convertible?

                  A. A skip.

Years ago my step dad had a skoda, the old embarrassing kind. One day when I was a self conscious young man in my late teens or maybe 20, he was giving me a lift somewhere. Inside the car it was surprisingly comfortable, and an this red hot summers day, I temporarily forgot what car I was in as I relaxed in the very comfortable passenger seat, and hung my arm out of the window in a posing fashion. I spotted a group of fine young ladies hanging around, and made a point of giving them the eye, as you do when you're young and think you're it. Then just as they looked round, I remembered what car I was in. Those ladies most have wondered what on earth I was doing, as I very rapidly pulled my head back in and ducked so they couldn't see who I was.

No offence meant. Only joking. We tend to drive whatever old rust bucket will get us around. :)
