Thought i'd already posted this, must have hit the wrong button again:DOH:

Wood Henge is a few Miles North East of Stonehenge.

The wood has long since rotted away but the Archaeologists Marked each post hole with a low concrete post. Not the way I would have done it, but who am I to argue.

Ziglets # 2 & 3 were not over impressed as it had neither a Pandorica below it nor Cybermen guarding it.

Always wondered what Woodhenge was like. All that concrete, hmm. Doesn't quite have the mystical draw of Rollright or Long Meg, does it?

You'd have thought they could have found a few rough-hewn tree trunks to put in there, at least. In its original form it must have been quite a major installation. I wonder if it was painted in any way? Alas, we'll probably never know.

PS Your lad looks just like your photo!

I bet the arguement was that as we have no evidence of what it looked like apart from the post holes, it would be wrong to re create something & give the wrong impression.

But I recon once you put the posts back in, it would become obvious if they were joined in any way, simply to stop them falling over.

We know the Rollrights were painted.

      Cos I painted them:heehee:

A friend of mine (parked up next to me on site) helped The Mutoid Waste Company build this 'henge by collecting scrap motors and positioning them for then with his Hiab:

When I was working at Larkhill I'd wander along to Woodhenge with my lunch, it's a lovely peaceful spot to relax, very few people visited and if they did they usually left after a couple of minutes with that same non-impressed look on their faces :dbgrtmb:
