Tell them how much it is in the expensive shop and that if they go to the cheap shop they can get you two bottles for the same price!

It's more family than anything else, me being 20 now their finding it harder to to think of gifts as anything I really need I would most likely just buy:o and the rums I have been looking at are all around the £20 mark which I feel isn't to expensive.

and also I feel really bad as I've been loaned so much money from the bank of dad this year:)

:WINK1: £20 - £30 I would have said was a very reasonably priced present for a 20 yr old .. Gosh a jumper you liked would set them back more..!! So be bold, be a man & tell the ones who have asked, what you would like... If they don't like it I am sure they will say... :WINK1: :heehee:

As for the Bank of Dad, I think most of us parents & grand parents will stand as bankers, now & then if we can.. I know we have several times over the years.... :WINK1: I am told the interest rates are much better at Bank of Dad than the big 4 banks..... :tomato: :tomato:  To be honest though if we can help out I'd rather that at this poor economic time... :WINK1:

No, thats illegal in the UK Marley.

I use 5kg of Dark Brown Unrefined Sugar.

          1kg of molasses,

          Teaspoon of Citric acid.

          Packet of Turbo Yeast.

Comes out about 30% so not as strong as normal Rum, but I have a mixer with that, so I just drink my own stuff without the mixer:cheers:

this is what I used to do when I was doing tenders (most companies who tender for the work try and 'soften you up' ... they used to ask the same questions (What do you drink?)

I'm a whiskey and beer guy

I used to tell them that my favourite is Johnnie Walker Blue, but any other will do

never ever got a Johnnie Walker blue, but did get several Johnnie walker black and Chivas

and if you think that's bad, our senior buyer at our company got fired for accepting a speed boat with 2 outboard motors from a company who was tendering on a multi-million project

buyer had been there for more than 20yrs .... had a few beers at a company function and told his mate .... The MD of our company was standing right behind him ...

checked the tenders and found that the company who gave the speedboat was not the cheapest or best tender

was taboo to accept christmas presents as it was regarded as a form of bribery

was a good job, as we were often taken out to expensive restaurants
they always 'pretended' to be your best friend, but you could see in their eyes they never gave a damn

I miss that job ... fridays afternoons were good
            :cry3:
