Grew a packet of "Mixed Aubergines"

What they meant was "About as much use as a chocolate teapot Aubergines"

    Pretty, but useless:rolleyespink:

 Oh dear Zigs they do look a bit poor..!! I have to admit I do very well with Aubergine Moneymaker for a large aubergine & have grown them for several years now very successfully.. i also grow a few Ophelia too & I also grew some Ivory last year but they didn't do so well.. I get my seed from Marshalls.. :sunny:

You know i'm picturing a row of Elephants with their Tusks poking up now:heehee::dbgrtmb:

I should have learned my lesson with the mixed squash seed packet, I think the word "mixed" just means, "we've collected seeds that could have been polinated by anything within a 3 mile radius & we've no idea what you are going to end up with but we don't care as long as we've taken your money."

Hmm I am always very suspicious of "mixed" seeds Zig I have had so many disappointments over the years.. I buy packets & then make my own mixes up for flowers if I haven't collected seeds myself.. As for veg I do the same there I don't buy their pkts of ready mixed seeds.. :rolleyespink: :heehee: Lots of packets of seeds but they all get used in the end though.. :phew:

I've never had much luck with Aubergines, I might give Marleys Moneymaker a try next year :)
