Quince ?

    weve been told these are Quince - they look like Quince but they are round like and apple rather than pear shaped

    Look like quinces to me. grate a bit & chew it, should be appley & a bit sharp if ripe, very sharp if unripe.

    Flesh wont go brown straight away like a cut apple does.

      Kirst, there are two types of edible Quince, pear and apple. Pear quince look like pears and apple quince look like apples.:heehee::heehee::heehee::happydance:

        we had some quince jelly with cheese in Cuba - think it was mortadella (sp) - might have a go at making that with them
