Sheal, I take it, you being the kind of person I think you are:D, that you have a "larder" that will last you a few weeks for emergency. My brother, who lives just outside Dove Holes, maintains a 3 week larder in case he gets snowed in, although he admits it's been a while since that has happen:WINK1:

No, you don't want to know about that.

I used to nick the Izal as tracing paper at school too.

I do tend to keep things as back up Armandii, but my toilet rolls were running low anyway, got enough for a week at mo, so hopefully, ship permitting, there'll be some when I shop. :)

Where is Dove Holes please, I've not heard of it?

Hi Sheal, at least people know what to buy you for Christmas...........soft, soft, soft.!!!:heehee::heehee::loll::loll::D

Dove Holes is a small village, and I do mean small, in the High Peaks about 5 miles from Buxton. There's not really anything to commend it as it's not very pretty I'm afraid, my apologies to the residents.:love30::heehee::D My brother's cottage is just outside the village at the entrance to a farm. It's really exposed to the winds and anything Derbyshire cares to throw at him. He has two large flags, one the Union Jack and one the Stars and Stripes [another story!!}, which he flies permanently on the flag pole in the garden and they get shredded by the high winds in two months or less . Then to just to finish the job he's probably in the coldest area for miles.:WINK1::rolleyespink: His garden has top soil to about 2" to 3" in depth max and after that it's pure bed rock but that never stops him from trying to grow all sort of plants!:D Still, he's never short of Sheep or Cow manure!!!

I thought you might have some sort of back up plan to deal with any emergencies:D:thumbsup:

          Nice and soft.

Laver seaweed is good too, but only when dried.

          Thanks Armandii,

Talking of being patriotic, the Manx have flags flying all around the island.
Also here's my own contribution. You are aware that my family is now scattered far and wide, my son and daughter had this plaque made for me before they left, the clocks are of course, the time differences. :)

Stocks are running down. Sheal is putting pebbles on the fire instead of coal.

Armandii, it hasn't been used for the natives recently! My late father-in law was a Metropolitan police officer and before that he was a Military Policeman in the Army many moons ago, my husband inherited it. :)
