Not banned yet, but Bordeaux and Burgundy Mixtures are going to be banned in 2013:

And have a look at what's been banned in the last few years and check how much of this stuff is in your shed:

        RHS - Withdrawn Chemicals

Dabitoff was carbon tet which has been banned under the CFC rules.

I can endorse Louise's comment about Amphora Aromatics. Mrs Shiney has been dealing with them, professionally, for years.

When I get a chance I'll have a look through some of my old books that have ads for products in them . I won't know whether they may have been banned or just out of production but I'm sure some of you may know. :D

What happened to Wincarnis tonic wine - afternoon tipple of choice for alcoholic housewives?

And all those breast -enlarging products that used to be advertised in the back pages of my grandma's copies of Woman's Own? Rivetting stuff to a 9 year old- all those shelf-like 38Bs.

My friend swears by Benylin with Codeine cough mixture - for sleeplessness! I remember having it when I was a student and it certainly made me feel quite...strange... Shame you can't get the laudanum syrup any more.

Dim- you can certainly still get Vim which is basically just a scouring powder. A similar brand is Ajax. Nothing like it for getting scum off a bathtub, I agree, and it won't lift your paintwork like Cillit Bang. As a product name Cillit bang is a marketing tour-de-force, though.

Can you still buy Andrews salts . It was an antacid that would give your system a good kickstart when you were feeling iffy .

You can Harry, but the idiots now sell it in a plastic tub that doesn't keep the moisture out. I transfer it straight into a sealable jar to stop it going solid.

Time to start a stash then. Can you imagine how much worse the blight will get if no one can prevent it?

Surely you cant actually ban sulphur, its a natural product, you can only say its not cleared for use on plants.
It has other uses I bet.

What was the name of that nasal inhaler that had a speed soaked sponge in it?
