The world is intertwined one country with the other.
However we would like the situation to be different, that is how it is.

To blow a nuclear bomb so that we are the only surviver on earth with all our richness or to grow a lot of vegetables in our plot and be the envy of the neighbors will only allow us to survive a little longer and very unhappy, if there is nobody around...

Living nowadays is not only about exchanging basic products but it is much more complicated than that.

I am very upset at the way this country is heading, plus Europe etc...and we are all paying for the errors of governments which are not behaving responsibly.

Pope is very ill ( according to saint Malachy, there will only be 1 more pope after the current .... and he will be Peter the roman) .... he has not been wrong so far .... then we will have doom

then, we have the Mayans and their 2012 predictions ....

then, we have nuclear war impending .... North Korea? .... perhaps a military takeover there in the next few weeks?

impending war in Iran, war in Syria?

interesting times ahead ....

I predicted first contact this year, but all we found was an Earth like planet

 

I'm not too keen on prophecies. A lot of folks seem to take heed of Nostradamus, but apparently most of his predictions have never come true, and those that SEEM to have come true, are ambiguous at best.

 

There are lots of unpleasant and difficult situations in the world at the moment. As far as I can gather, the only thing that makes the current situation any worse than previous ones is that for the first time in history, we have the means for ordinary folk to gossip about it all on a global scale in close to real time. I.e. it seems worse than before because this time, the extent of the information (either factual, fictional or hearsay) available to us is infinitely greater than was the case a few years ago.

Before the interweb, and digital telly, the only information that reach us general public sorts was exactly what the government were willing to tell us in very short press releases, whittled down even further so that it would fit into the BBC News At Ten along with the weather forecast and the latest update on the miners strike.

 

It's being so cheerful that keeps some people going.

I predict that we will make first contact in 2012 and that Sheal will get some bog paper.

On Sheal's behalf though, I will only be predicting earthquakes when absolutly necessary.

 

I love this world with all it's idiosyncrasies.
