Ordered something from Amazon yesterday about 1pm and selected free delivery, 3 to 5 days with the expectation that it would not arrive before Christmas.
    It did.
    23.5 hours after ordering.
Well done Amazon and their carriers.

I have to agree that they provide a very good and efficient service.
The Military Wives Choir CD was on the door step at 10am Monday.....the release day!...Impressive.

Imagine! Delivering all those lonely military wives to your doorstep first thing in the morning, Paladin. Eat your heart out, Santa.

I rely on Amazon for all kinds of stuff so I pay out fifty quid or so each year for their premium service - next day delivery if you order by a certain time the evening before. It always seems like a lot to shell out but I really do get my money's worth and it has been a godsend when my son has needed a book quickly. Libraries are not always much use when you have a deadline looming.

Ordered a gurt big bag of birdy food and some suet from Wild bird food direct (Lincolnshire) yesterday at about 4pm. Came back from a visit at 12 noon today to find a note and the seed round the corner of the house. Crackin' service. Cheers, Tony.

      Love it :D

Amazon are always great. Everything about their service has always been excellent.

Very impressed with Royal Mail a couple of weeks ago. Spoke to a friend 500 miles away in Newtonmore at approx 4.30pm. Sometime after the phone call they popped a card in the post which arrived on my doorstep the following morning at 10am. I think the only way they could have impressed me more would be to deliver it before it was sent :rolleyespink:

I've got most of my Christmas presents from Amazon this year and delivered to my work address so no-one at home knows whats been coming. I just choose the free standard deleivery which they say is 4 to 5 days but invariably it has come next day even during the last week.

Same here:thumbsup: I ordered a heated propagator yesterday afternoon and it arrived today via Lynx Carrier. Just to make it even even better, I was out when Lynx arrived and came back later to find the "sorry we've missed you card" in my letter box but no parcel. So I rang Lynx Courier Control and explained that I just missed him so they rang the driver who said he'd return with the parcel within half an hour............and he did.!!!!!! Now that's Service:D:love30::love30::D

As I mentioned in another thread, Inhouse Advisor ordered a camera from Amazon DE Germany (which we have used before) because it was £40 cheaper than Amazon UK:scratch:, it came in 4 days.
A few things have arrived before their stated time.:dbgrtmb::dbgrtmb:
