        Under the tree I found an assortment of wonderful spa products and a gift certificate to a spa. Candles, Bailey Irish Cream, and mixed drink mixes, bottle of spice wine, gift certificate for starbucks. A wonderful mandoline, and variety of neat kitchen gagets. A new cookbook. And a beautiful silk hoodie with a nice design on it. All total 14 to unwrap. From husband and friends.

        Its only 1:26 PM here now.

            I got a bar of chocolate, a pair of slippers, two pairs of walking socks (proper ones from the fishing tackle shop), a wooden dibber (10p reduced at Tescos), another copy of 'A Country Harvest' by Pamela Michael (because Mrs Scrungee said I 'gave' my first copy to her) and some loppers.

                  I finally got something useful from a cracker - a fishy themed key fob bottle opener, just what I always wanted:

                    A Kindle. OH has got fed up with having dog-eared paperbacks everywhere. I quite like dog eared paperbacks. But the new gadget is very nice.

                    PS: Ziggy, getting two copies of 'Food For Free' is nothing. A friend once received six copies of the 'Book of Heroic Failures' in one Christmas. He lost the will to live after the first three.

                      I'm easily pleased.

                      I got a silver lining pillow The S.L.P.Co Suppliers of the Silver Lining Pillow For anyone suffering with back ache or neck pain, these pillows are fantastic. The cat sneaked into the bedroom and destroyed my last one!!!:mad:

                      I got a roasting tray to use with my ever growing collection of army cookers, socks, a hard back copy of one of the best books that I have ever read 'Apache' by Ed Macy, I also got various odds and ends of useful stuff.

                      edit.. I also got some Jelly Bellies.:):)

                        :D Six, now that is good going. When I say another, I meant 3rd. Wouldn't mind but its a bit like giving David Attenborough a copy of Wild Planet for Christmas.

                        I was teaching this stuff before Richard wrote the book:DOH:

                        Still, tin of Sardines is good & the kids are well pleased with the sticks I gave them.:dbgrtmb:

                        Dead jealouse of Scrunge's fish though.

                        But Miraflores gave me a huge fish collander earlier in the year so that kinda balances it out:D:thumbsup:

                          It was quite a good year for me compared to other years. I got:

                          * A pair of warm woolly gloves
                          * Some new socks
                          * A pair of formal trousers - navy blue with a nice big button on the waist.
                          * A warm jumper
                          * A pair of slippers.

                          I think my family are trying to tell me I'm getting old.:heehee:

                          Most worryingly, I actually genuinely liked it all:what:

                            I never have understood why men get socks for Christmas :scratch: .. surely someone will come along an explain this phenonomen to me.

                            I can't recall where women get tights for Christmas ... what a nightmare that would be ... :gaagh:

                            When 'one' needs underwear, do they not go out and buy such .. no, my t'other half doesn't but I sure don't give it to him for Christmas because he may need it in March ... or July ... or ...

                            Myself, I buy my underwear all the time, have fifty/sixty sets and I choose it because I know what I like ... :yess:
