        I was amazed by the amount of fireworks being let off last night, more than ever I've seen over London., and a great spectacle too. There is still money about.

          It was all the private events going off too though Michael, the whole London skyline was ablaze. :thumbsup:

          Hey Sheal you talking about my neighbour ... he had a firework display last night .. and his names Sydney :WINK1:
          to be fair i have not seen the London display, so cant comment ..
          i hear they had a few more Roman Candles than last year though .. :cheers:

            They have really cut back here this year ... but that is to be expected.

            Due to circumstances not good, We had to spend New Year elsewhere, the good point was the bay window view is directly at Edinburgh Castle, AND they had fireworks on the hour at 21:00 22:00 23:00 and Midnight it was excellent, and a crystal clear night

            Another high of the NEW YEAR was we had our Grandson 8yrs with us and he managed to find the old ladies Jewellery, that she hid for safe keeping whilst away on holiday ten years ago, and never found since (the family silver) :) she has fretted for it for years
            Obviously the back of the open wood shed is safer than in a locked granite built house :D
