I am just loving all these photos and I have been here going back through some old ones and found the following. It is of my aunt and uncle from the Rhondda Valley (who brought me up after my mother died when I was seven) and my goodself taken up in Fontama Dam, North Carolina when they came to visit t'other half and I in 1976. That is when t'other half's parents who lived in Cincinnatii, Ohio, met up with my family .. such a memorable occasion.

The car we are leaning against was my Ford Pinto (Capri) ..

Festive fun with my mum and two balloons. Mum was rather glam and generally considered to be our street's answer to Ava Gardner. Unfortunately she seemed to think it was dead chic to give her kids pudding basin haircuts. Maybe she just didn't want any competition.

Can't remember ... I have a horrible feeling it was a bit of a set-up job. Some evil relative or other had given me that mob cap thing for Christmas, I think. I'm sure my parents thought it was hilarious. Never mind. I got my own back this year with some candid pics of Mum after a bit too much festive cheer.

 

Not great quality but a couple of pics of my band, Hammerhead, in the early 70s. Thought I ws going to be a rock star but sadly never made it.:(

 

I dug this one of me out, but I can't remember how old I was in this school photo.
