    Hi there,

I would really appreciate you taking a look at my website and giving me some honest feedback. I feel that it is a bit bare, but i am not sure what content, graphics or whatever i should add and where i should add them.

    Any help is much appreciated.

I don't know if i can post a link to my website but the clue is in my username, Organic Grow Shop, hint hint ;) ;)

    Cheers,

    Matt

    Hi Matt,

Now you are a regular poster and if you intend to stay as one, i'll ask if you can put a link up. If you get the go ahead, you'd need to put a reciprocal link from your site back to Gardeners Corner.

Well I couldn't hack your site login so thats a good start:heehee:

Try putting a background on for a start, take the stark white look away.

You could put google ads on the site, but keep your eye on them as i've found my own site covered with the competitions ads.

Para 1. of the About Us page is grammatically incorrect.

The centre of the main page is a black screen.

It looks good to me OGS although the only thing that immediately got my goat was the over use of the Sans font and the way the text is centred, also the position of the add to basket button:o

I feel that using a more standard font and alignment as well as keeping the location of the add to basket option in the expected place it makes the website more user friendly and gives it a professional feel

            something like this:

That black box gcc3663 is a flash object, what browser are you using, is your flash up-to-date?

that's something which should be looked it as well OGS, is there any need to use Adobe flash for that slideshow? there are a number of other options which would create a very similar effect.

nice!`... I have bookmarked your site, as I will be using vermicompost in spring

what may help, is if you include some info on brewing compost teas, and supply/sell the ingredients and equipment needed

here is a site that I have been researching, so it may give you some ideas:

Compost - The Secret Weapon Used By All Successful Farmers and Gardeners

            and this one:

Brewing Compost Tea - Fine Gardening Article

a bit of rock dust may also sell well

another thing, based on what I have read on the US lawn forums, is that many groundsmen are switching to organic fertlizing for lawns .... so a bit of advice on what fertilizers to use for a 4 times a year application may be of help

if you are looking at making big money, you will need to attract the cannabis growers, as from what I have read, they are the ones spending the most money on organic fertilizers .... search ebay for Canna and you will see the organic fertilizers on offer

hydroponics should also be included.... and also target the bonsai growers (huge market)

            good Luck!

I'm probably like most PC users. I've no idea what my Flash update is.
I know it doesn't give me problems on most websites.
Maybe the flash element is a bit of an overkilll for the site - which is intended for gardeners, not computer geeks.

Visually it looks ok. The text on the greeting is quite difficult to read, but that's a minor point.

Technically, I'm afraid my quick look revealed a lot of weaknesses. I doubt that the site as it stands will do very well at all in the search engines, ie few people will find your site unless they know it's there.

After the lad has gone to bed, I'll have a more thorough look and give you my report:)
