We are quite lucky here when we are doing large curries for parties we have a asian shop local. We buy mutton, goat and chicken nibblets if on a budget 2kg for £2.80.They are alright as well just cut up chicken thighs very meaty and tasty.
Ziggy ever thought about getting a gun licence or trying lamping for a few rabbits taste much better than pike and the same price.

Never pictured the words "Gun Licence" & "Ziggy" in the same sentence before:D

Don't you have to be sane to have one of those?

I wonder if curing & smoking would soften the bones, like it does with Herrings.

        Cheers Marley,

I have made a smoker & do have plenty of oak chips.

Just found a slight flaw in the plan though, all my fishing gear is down West Bay 30 miles away:DOH: So this plan will have to go on hold for a while.

Just found a veggy curry in the freezer that I didn't know I had:dbgrtmb:

          I might stand a chance then:D

You'd have to compensate for the angle of deflection, is that 9 degrees in water?

Digressing again, I saw an episode of Brainiac Science abuse one time where they were testing the theory diving under water would save you from being shot dead by the baddies, as we see in so many movies.

With a balistics dummy submerged about 6 inches below the surface, they hot him with hand guns and light rifles. The balistics dummy was killed.

Then they repeated the same experiment with much more powerful sniper rifles. The dummy survived. Its because of a clever property of water, surface tension, the faster you hit it, the harder it resists. High speed camera footage revealed what was going on. With the more feeble weapons, the bullet came out slow enough that it could survive the impact with the surface of the water. The much faster bullet from the sniper rifle hit the water surface so fast and hard that it literally shattered into tiny fragments on impact with the water surface, and the results shards were so small that they didn't have enough mass to maintain moment against the water.

A bit like a Go'auld shield then, that stops the high tech stuff but doesn't expect a bow and arrow to be a threat.

Sounds good Marley, I shall sneak down the Church yard in the dark & raid the Yew tree. Funily enough, there was a bit of drunken sneaking around last night & a big pile of firewood in the garden this morning:mute::WINK1:
