Blimey, good job she was above water ironically.

    :what:

A woman has plunged into crocodile-infested waters after her bungee rope snapped.

Erin Langworthy had jumped from the Victoria Falls bridge above the Zambezi River, when the cord snapped in two.

She told Australia's Channel 9 News "it went black straight away and I felt liked I had been slapped all over".

She said she had to swim with her feet tied together to the Zimbabwe side of the water, and had to free the cord when it got caught on rocks.

      Blimey,

she was lucky it snapped there after taking most of the momentum out of her fall.

      Thats gotta hurt though.

I'd never do one after seeing the video of the guy jumping from the building where they didn't have a #13 floor, so the rope was a floor too long.

No Aesculus, thats not an invitation to post that video.

I love the peoples reactions when the rope snaps in the video just shown on the news. The rope snaps and they just go "oh" very casually I think they did it on purpose!

It was just on TV, no mention of an inquiry as to why it happened (negligence?) or how they were allowed to operate there.

I saw it on the news a bit ago. Scary. As for people's reactions, when something real happens, the response is never like you see in the movies, with people screaming and flapping out. People just freeze and go quiet.

As for bungee jumping in general, its one thing I never wanted to do, even when I was younger and more daring/indestructible. I saw a documentary a while ago. Apparently many doctors would like to see it banned. Apparently evolution has done a pretty good job of letting us survive rapid deceleration when we're the right way up, as might happen if you jump or fall off something, but mother nature didn't really bother with any built in protection from the g-force we get when rapidly decelerating when we're the wrong way up. Apparently the sudden surge in blood pressure in your head can cause lasting damage to your eyes, or worse. I guess especially if you land in a river full of crocodiles.

Yes, guess so, the last one. That would be a good plan. I plan on using up all my money, and run all my credit cards up then die.

When I was in NZ, one had to pay loads of money to jump off Hackett's Bridge on the end of a bungie. I said NO WAY - they'd have to pay me! That lady got a lot more excitement than she bargained for!
