etesia pro .... don't even think about the others

you can pick up wet grass in pouring rain

    does not do stripes though

pricey, but you can pick up a good used one on ebay for approx £300-£400

for roller/stripes, the old hayer are good (think the pre-2006) .... people are complaining about the new ones .... I will be looking at an old Dennis or ransomes for doing stripes .... bargains on ebay, and costs a couple of hundred for a full service .... I have an old hayter which I recently bought and will use this for the smaller gardens that request stripes

if you go even larger, husquavarna RZ3016 zero turn are regarded by many in the USA as very good for price .... under £2k

and on a sidenote, the cheap bosch rotak electric (under £100) are amazing for small gardens in the rain .... picks up wet grass with no prob

I've been watching that one on ebay .... it's a bit expensive .... it's been listed for several days .... so if you are keen on that one, barter with the seller

yesterday, there were a few more listed for a bit cheaper .... budget on about £120-£200 for a full service which will include a new blade

if you are patient, you will find cheaper in good condition .... also check your local auction houses

I missed one 3 weeks ago with the kawasaki motor .... was at a local auction house ... I placed a commison bid and it ended up selling for £150 .... had I been there, I would have bid much more that £150

yup ... cost approx £2k .... they are really good, especially if you are a gardener/landscaper

you can start work much earlier when grass is damp .... it will pay itself off

The only problem with them (that some guys complain about) is that the self drive could be a bit faster .... so what people are doing, is telling the service guys to speed it up (they don't charge you to do this) ... they adjust something on the mower

nice one ... I too am a commercial gardener, and an Etesia is a must have .... many councils use etesia only

for stripes, look at an old dennis or ransomes cylinder mower for your fussy high paying clients ....

and if you want stripes and are after a rotary, get an old Hayter 56 pro, you will be well pleased (but it has to be the old model)

here is a youtube of the Husqvarna (I will be looking at one in spring as I have a few larger jobs lined up)

and here is a good old large Dennis for stripes:

you need a trailer though and it is huge, so if there are gates, you will not get them through, but there are smaller versions
