I'd have just continued singing loudly:

    Johny Major is a right
    is a right
    is a right
    Johny Major is a right
    Right wing b word

Its the song that everyone settled on. Some posh kids from one of the southern universities tried to get everyone going on something a bit more intellectual, but it just didn't catch on with the masses.

Can't really remember John Major but Tony Blair looks a bit like my Dad.

you get more truth from conspiracy sites than what you read in the newspapers or what you see on tv ...

the conspiracy sites are merely forums where normal people analize and debate current information and news ... if it is bull, it is very quickly debunked .... there is loads of info that is 'twisted' and withheld from governments who lie, cheat and are corrupt (we recently saw thousands of such cases with Julius Assange/Wikileaks)

one current area of concern is the Japanese Fukushima nuclear disaster .... lots happening there right now which has been 'hushed' by the world media .... however, on conspiracy sites, workers at the plant are posting anonomously and the truth is being told ....

another intersersting development is current findings in Antartica .... nothing is being said in the newspapers

that is one of the reasons why the US is trying to pass a bill to shut down sites like twitter and youtube (to stop people speaking and divulging what the US deem to be sensitive information)

as far as Iran, I hope that you are right Dai...

but somehow I have a bad feeling about this as I have been following current events very closely

and this is an example about how conspiracy sites work .... watch the youtube video and read the comments:

    http://www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/thread795691/pg1

and, conspiracy sites is not just about aliens and paranormal .... it's just a forum where anything is discussed (like the off-topic section of this forum) .... here is a weather related topic which is interesting:
    http://www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/thread795359/pg1

and here are 10 'conspiracy theories' of last year that main stream media categorically denied, but was eventually proven to be fact

You get more truth by watching and reading content from a vast array of sources for yourself than relying on other people summarising for you. Only you can be your own judge unless you can guarantee you know which way every member's bias swings or even better, guarantee no bias.

If that's the same guy who I think it is then he's pretty accurate. I'm sure I've seen a few Youtube videos of his.

if you want up to the minute info on conflicts/wars around the world, janey's forum is the one ...

She gets up to the minute 'inside' info and is regarded by many as 'well informed' ... many who post on her forum are 'whistle blowers' ... posts are interesing, and debated by very clever people

    I remain sceptical.

    1) If there were websites that one or more governments would rather didn't exist, would not those websites simply get shut down either under some tenuous violation of law, or if that didn't work, a simple denial of service attack? DoS attacks are well within the capabilities of any government. They're a little bit difficult against the likes of google, just because of the sheer size, but even huge, well distributed systems can be easily disrupted.

    2) In a war situation, if you're a soldier, why would you want to give out info that might give your enemy an advantage that could lead to you or your mates being killed? Whether soldier or civilian, I'm pretty sure that emotions run high when people are trying to kill each other, so it would be difficult for someone to report objectively the truth from their individual, limited perspective.

    3) If you can post on such sites, and I can post on such sites, then why not someone who is trained in PR, who has the skill to steer the people toward the opinion that the PR person's boss wants? Governments have always manipulated public opinion. The governments of the world haven't overlooked the internet.

I have no doubt that you can get a slightly bigger picture by searching the web, but you can't be sure any of it is true unless you witness it yourself.

LOL ... you are sharp ... and that is exactly what is happening

when Julius assange started leaking war attrocities conducted by the US forces, there were members of congress in the USA who called for his 'assasination' .... this is fact ... google it
The brave armchair generals calling for Julian Assange’s criminalization at Unreported

Obama has given the go ahead for censoring the internet .... this has happened this week ... tata sites such as twitter, youtube etc where free speech is prevaliant at the moment

» Infowars Special Report: Dangerous Internet Takeover Accelerates, New Darth Vader Choke Technology Alex Jones' Infowars: There's a war on for your mind! (check the 2nd video)

there are lots of 'shills' on those sites .... many are full time paid employees of israel (that is their full time job).... they troll those sites, pushing their agenda but are soon ousted as people are 'sharp'
Israeli government pays students to spread propaganda online - International Middle East Media Center

the links of the sites I have posted are not my favourite sites (there is better where people / whistleblowers post anonomously and those with sensitive information post via proxy ... I have not linked threads to that site, as language is not moderated.

search google for Tavistock .... even the forums I enjoy (godlikeproductions.com) is a Tavistock operation (psy ops) .... I don't post there, I just read .... but you have to read quick, as many threads are pulled
Pigs In The Parlor: The Tavistock Institute Of Human Relations. & GodLikeProductions Forum

you cannot 'witness' things yourself .... but you can listen to what is said on mainstream media, and read alternative views on sites such as conspiracy forums, then, if a subject interest you, you can research further on google etc and make up your own mind .... I never believe 'everything' I hear or see on BBC or Fox news

Or another possibility is that the ones that are identified and ousted were meant to be spotted.

There is a very well known trick used in business. If its used in business, then I can bet its used in government. If you're building a product and you don't want the competition to copy it before you're ready, rather than going totally quiet, which is impossible because one employee always has too much to drink and blabs, you do the exact opposite. You publish little snippets of your plan. Just enough to whet people's appetites. Then everyone picks up on it and interprets it their own way, and publishes their interpretation as 'factual analysis'. Then while your potential customers, and your competition are all running around like headless chickens, pursuing ideas that grew out from deliberately placed rumours, you just get on with doing what you were doing in peace, secure in the knowledge that nobody is going to nick your idea before you're ready, because they're all far too busy interpreting the little clues that you 'foolishly' released early on.

I remember a cracker from a few years ago now. Sony were working on the PS3. They knew that Nintendo were hot on their heals, and Microsoft were entering the market. Suddenly, Sony released a white paper about the possibilities of 'organic computing'. Next thing you know, Sony is rumoured to be building a radical new organic based processor, and boffins the world over are debating how it could be done. Meanwhile of course, Sony just continued along, and eventually released a conventional computer in a box. Cutting edge at the time, but not radical.

that is what Tavistock is all about .... one example: they will post snippets of sensitive info .... to oust the snitches and see how the public will react .... a guy thinks he is clever, has a few beers and blabs all the ifo .... they have his IP address which links to his physical address ....

one large conspiracy site is run by tavistock ... but it is one of the best for breaking news .... like I said, I just read there and don't post

What is with all the "Jew Bashing" - if you were from a race that had been persecuted through the ages you would make damn sure that it didn't happen again!

All my working life I've had dealings with Jewish (and Muslim) people and have never had any problems. Some of their actions with their neighbours are on the face of it overly heavy handed, but so was rounding up a race over an entire continent so that you could work them to death or gas them!

      Rant over.

Back to Iran - let us not forget that it is the definition of a rogue state. With the downfall of Gaddaffi and the imminent downfall of Bashar al-Assad in Syria, it will be working harder than ever in the sponsorship of terrorism. Imagine the consequences of it producing weapons grade atomic material!
I for one do not believe that the Chamberlain approach will work here. So if that involves us asking Mossad to take a few scientists or facilities out Cameron (never thought that I'd say this) gets my support.

      Scary times my friends.

          1. These websites do exist, but at the minute if they were to shut them down then they would just prove all that is said on those sites and add to the 'conspiracy theories. Things might change with web 2.0, and these sites be shut down with legislation being put in.
Some of these sites do face DoS attacks on a regular basis, but they have employed teams of IT staff and sophisticated backup systems to avoid these sabotages.
Check out the Alexa ranking for infowars Infowars.com Site Info

Global rank 1700, i think people might notice if it got shut down.

          2. That is why more whistle blowers don't come out with information, they are scared for their own lives and that of their families... and i don't blame them.
but when you b believe you are fighting an illegal war and your friends and civilians are dying needlessly then you do what it takes to get this information to the people.
Look at the bradley manning case and the wiki leaks.

          3. Oh yes, there are many many dis info agents at work on these forums and youtube etc. I'm sure the NSA and CIA with their multi trillion $ budgets have got whole building of people dedicated to this. That's why you have to have discernment and follow your gut.

Like when the FBI is holding up a hijackers passport 1 day after the twin towers have been demolished, claiming it was found in the rubble and at the same time mainstream media is reporting no black boxes recovered.... That's when your bull's manure radar should start ringing loudly.

You do have to follow your gut! And much as George Dubbya was a moron and not someone that I would lend a quid to, I don't buy into the conspiracy theory.

I dislike the official line on the illnesses that are cropping up in the rescue workers, but that is a whole different matter.
