Because I am a green hand, so I just know a little about gardening. Now I just plant some roses( although i don't know if when they can blossom or when they can blossom) and place them in my house. I saw many people buy greenhouse for their plants. All of you also buy it in the winter ? Is it necessary to buy a greenhouse for them ?

You don't need a greenhouse for roses :dbgrtmb:. They're very tough.

There are a lot of plants that people grow now that are not hardy enough to survive outside in the winter but more people use a greenhouse to help get new seedlings to grow earlier than they would do so outside.

Hi Jane, Shiney is correct, as usual, in his advice. Do you want to plant the Rose in the ground or in a large pot? Do you know which particular Rose you want, what kind it is. I would advise you not to choose a Rose without going to a Plant Nursery and asking for advice, which I think you need so that you don't waste money on choosing the wrong one.

        Hi Jane,

I have never had a greenhouse and only ever grown my plants outside or under the cover of a cold frame.
I would love a greenhouse but as per normal santa never brings one to me:(
I have space now and would use it, but not for roses. This has been outlined by 'shiney' but I would add that if grafting, budding, or anything young and tender then I would put it in a greenhouse or cold frame to protect it until it takes.

We all start somewhere and do not feel you have to get it all at once.
Learning takes years and costs little.
Mistakes take no time and generally cost a lot.

        Enjoy.
