I thought it was about time we had a sticky for any online discounts or offers which any of us come across:dbgrtmb:

The discount code list below was compiled mostly by a member of another forum and is actually meant for Gardeners World Magazine subscribers so some of the discount codes may require a membership number:dunno:

if you find a new code/offer or one on the list doesn't work anymore or requires a membership number post below and I will amend the list:sunny:

All discount codes are 10% unless specified

There are two online vouchers available for downloading & printing:

          1) http://www.homebase.co.uk/wcsstore/homebase/en_GB/images/p0/email/friendsfamilyjan12.pdf
This one has been posted on HUKD and is supposedly fror 'friends & family' of either Homebase & Argos staff and has always worked fine for everyone - I'm sure everbody must know someone or have a family member (however distant) working for one one those companies. The online discount code associated with this voucher is FF20.

          2) Using Google to search into the bowels of Homebase's website I located this voucher which as far as I'm aware hasn't been posted on any other forum yet (only the code below, so it's being posted here first), but is only usuable if spending £30 or more http://www.homebase.co.uk/wcsstore/homebase/assets/20percentevent.pdf The online discount code associated with this offer is DISC20.

N.B. Online Discount Codes - Lots of people don't realise that Homebase sell all sorts of other stuff online such as cameras, printers, white goods, etc. and these call all be purchased using a 20% off code and receiving by home delivery. Very often you can find something already on special offer and get a further 20% off. I've bought a freezer and laser printer doing this and got some real bargains. You have to get in there quick to grab to best deals, so it's best to check out and bookmark beforehand.

Example - (may not be the best, but just what I found from a quick look) Fujifilm FinePix S4000 14MP Digital Bridge Camera. from Homebase.co.uk Fujifilm FinePix S4000 14MP Digital Bridge Camera "Save £30.00 Now £169.99" which less 20% is £135.99 (+£5.95 P&P) and £172.85 at Amazon.

P.S. A warning about 'Click & Collect' - Homebase are notorious for waiting until the likes of late afternoon before wandering around the store & collecting items reserved online, meaning when there's a good deal on other shoppers can get to the store and clear the shelf before your reserved item gets put in the stockroom.

That can't be right Scrungee:dunno: if you have reserved the item or even purchased it if there is only one in stock then the till won't physically allow them to sell it:thumbsup: so they might not of picked the item but even if someone sticks it in their trolley I'm pretty sure they can't buy it.

at least this is the way the Argos system works (same system homebase use) although at Argos as soon as you reserve an Item an employee will go find your item and make sure it's there and undamaged ready for you to collect.

This is typical of numerous comments that keep appearing online (not as many as about B&Q) about Homebase:

Above comment was posted elsewhere on 16/8/2011, so perhaps they've changed their system since then. But regardless of whether their system is supposed to stop reserved stuff being sold, if their stock levels are incorrect (which could be the root of the problem/complaints) the system will believe there's still more in stock when another shopper walks off with the last one on the shelf before you get to the store.

I'm thinking of ordering some stuff from parker's bulbs using the above code -GWP20 - but it isn't showing any reduction at the checkout. Does this mean it doesn't work, or is it one of the ones where I have to be a Gardeners' World mag member?

                Anybody tried it?
