I did a stock check tonight to see what soft fruit bushes I've managed to clock up so far for the back garden.

    2x Blackberry
    4x Blueberry
    3x Goosegog
    1x Loganberry
    1x Red currant
    1x Black currant
    1x White currant

    That totals 13.

13 is an unlucky number, so I will have to go an buy some more fruit bushes.

Sometimes I'm glad the wife is very superstitious. When I came in from the garden and reported this figure, I met with no resistance at all when proposing that I need to spend more money on fruit shrubs.

I told her I think 5 more is a good number. Then I realised that would make 18. Nothing wrong with that, but might aswell round it up to 20:dbgrtmb:

I have a few strawberries kicking about, but I didn't count them because over the years I've learnt a thing or two about truth and statistics:) It is true that I have 13 fruit shrubs and so need t buy more.

So strawbs, yes. Raspberries I can get a few canes of for free from my mate's garden. My only hesitation is that they invade his lawn very quickly, so I'm worried about controlling them.

Tayberries - I'll have to look into that.

Gojis - I fancy giving them a go. Are they the ones that are supposed to be a miracle berry that makes everything else taste sweet afterwards, or am I thinking of something else?
