Purple Sprouting Broc

    Guys
    Quick question, when my Purple sprouting comes into sprout shall we say whereabouts will the flower heads form it just my plants are completely bare of anything resembling a sprout, loads of greenery thou.

    They should sprout from the leaf nodes.:thumbsup:

    Just like the side shoots you remove from toms? If so then all is not lost as i actually have several of those. You i only thought they sprouted at the tops.

    They normally produce a large central sprout, followed by many smaller sprouts, as Dai says, from the leaf nodes.
    If you cut out the central sprout as soon as it reaches a good size for eating, this will encourage the production of more secondary side sprouts.
    As for timing, depends on which variety you have. Early Purple Sprouting should start to produce around late Feb/early March, Late Purple Sprouting will be about a month later.
