Just taken delivery of a Betterware Bird Feeder. (Cost £7.50!)
    The instructions are:-
    Not Frost Proof
Not suitable for Outdoor use during Winter months
When used in Summer months, use in a sheltered position only
Keep away from rain or moisture
    Take indoors of an evening.

Any ideas what I should do with it?

Obviously NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE - Return it and demand your money back, perhaps pointing out that a negative post on GC will do their business no good at all.

I bought a food prep kit once, had a lemon squeezer made of plastic that disolved into long sticky strings upon contact with citric acid:DOH: i.e. lemon juice.

Is it made of paper? :heehee:

Check their ad first to see whether they say all these things in it. I'd be inclined to follow what Alex said. Not only is it not fit for purpose but it is likely to be contravening the Trades Description Act. 'Betterware'!!!!! :D

Is it this one (the only Betterware bird feeder I can find online, but it's £5.99) Window Bird Feeder If so you can do an online review (now off to see if that catalogue that came through the door the other day is in the mulching or recycling box).

This is the offending Bird Feeder:-

Ceramic Bird in the Hand Feeder

It does say not frost proof, but the rest of the advisory info enclosed in the package isn't there.

Have now emailed Betterware (including a link to here). Awaiting response.

The question is, is it worth 2 in the bush?

              Any bird..... in the bush!

I'd love to complete the sentence but decency, and the 3xtree penalty threat prevents such extravagances.

You should get your money back. Although, in the ad, it says 'not frost proof', it doesn't say anything about having to keep it out of the rain or taking it in at night. These are things that you would never expect to have to do with a bird feeder.

I fight a lot of consumer cases and this one would be a doddle! :dbgrtmb:

Don't take no for an answer :nono:

                  Betterware have now responded.
They won't comment on the product info, but have suggested they will pass the comments on the their buyers!

They have agreed to accept the return of the product for refund.
                  Job done!

                    Good for you :dbgrtmb:

I hope they're refunding the postage! It's their liability.
