You Southerners don't know what COLD is. When I was a lad in North Cumbria, it was so cold in my bedroom, the flame on the candle used to freeze. :heehee: Cheers, Tony.

In the house where I grew up, we thought we had ghosts, because in spring time we'd hear voices in around the house. Then we realised it was just us, having said something in winter but the voice had froze in mid air, and remained there until it thawed in spring.

I had cavity wall insulation put in today, it really does help keep you warm, I'm sweating buckets now.

          No, not from the insulation.

          From clearing up the mess.:)

The car windscreen has been totally clear in the morning.

I've not had to clean the car windows in the mornings either for this week.
But it been below zero every morning.

Its due to a very low dew point, ie the air is desert dry.

I noticed that, no frost this morning, it wasn't till the plants in the pots started to wilt that I found the soil was frozen.

There has been no frost because the air has been exceptionally dry.:dbgrtmb: Tony, you wuss, we could never even light the candles because the matches would freeze solid in the box. The only heat we had was when the old man sucked a Polo.:loll::dbgrtmb:

We mustn't complain. They've been having minus 40 C in parts of Europe. Most domestic freezers don't even go that low.
