They were selling Kilmarnock weeping willows today for £7.00 and going like hot cakes! :)

Seems expensive for supermarket stock. I'm sure they're usually a fiver when they're in the supers, and even in B&Q they're not much more than £7 potted up I think.

They may be 'marked up' a bit here because of shipping to the island Clueless.

Good healthy looking trees though. :)

He's a bit late with that info. We've been clearing them out of 1p stuff since late last year and Tesco's have wised up to it and almost got everything sorted now. In my local store they've disabled the price checkers, overstickered the 1p stuff with new barcodes or removed them from the store. Not before we got an enormous haul of it, getting some with every shop. For example:

Those 1p vegetable crisps are rather nice and we've got loads of 1p stuff (like 1p bags of mini Easter eggs in 1p mugs!) for our daughter's forthcoming fund raising table top/car boot sales for her World Challenge trip, together with bags of other things like those Energiser torches that were scanning at 37p (approx £5 each elsewhere - you can't even get the 3Energiser batteries supplied with it for 37p)

No doubt somebody will notice the 1p toilet rolls.

Because of the cost of shipping goods here we tend not to get the bargains you guys get 'across' (just like to point out that's what the Manx call the mainland), having said that, a few months back B & Q decided to extend there Wednesday senior citizen discounts to five days a week here because we miss out on the bargains. Luckily my other half qualified for this last August...........problem.......he detests B & Q! :heehee: I can use the card he has though.

As a point of interest, B & Q was founded here on the island by a Manxman and Englishman, our Manxie sold off he's share some years ago.

Didn't know that Sheal. Always wondered what B & Q stood for.
