That's great Harry - thank you.

I am full of admiration. How do they manage to keep them looking so good? I have plants indoors - but they keep dying because I over/under water them - often I don't know which.

        Well it is KEW Gardens
If you had fifty fully qualified gardeners paid £400 a week, and the plants kept in perfect environment, Then your indoor plants would be just as stunning

I do not think they have to worry about the cost of heating/lighting as we do (the home let alone the plants) and have all the knowledge required

If you put it into football terms . Kew are FC Barcelona in la Liga , we are sunday morning pub football , some of us are even in the relegation zone :D

Am I the only one who was a little disappointed?
Very common Phals and Oncidium (although the Vandas were lovely), packed out with garden ornaments.
And the blue dyed Anthurium made my blood boil!

The big tropical extravaganza uses plants shipped in from Holland for the displays, so its a bit of a cheat. The humidity is kept high as well as the heat which is why so many of their plants do so well, not just having gardeners on site. If we ha simialar humidity and heat then our homes would rot, and be covered in mold, plus the gas and electricity bills would be staggering!

Anyway that aside, we went yesterday, really enjoyed it, especially as the ground was full of snow outside. Was pretty quiet de to snowy roads, kept people at home, but its on until early March.

Haven't yet sorted out the pics, but will put a post on our blog once we have done and will pop a link up (and a few more pics) if anyone is interested.
