All I can say is 'brrrrrrrrrrrr' Pete and pleased that I am here. We went down to 1,8c the past couple of nights (a shock from our 15c day temps) and my Cavendish looks a little sad but temps are set to rise. :yess:

Looks like the snow when temperature is well below freezing point.
Because when it is exactly freezing point (sometimes it snows even when it is slightly above freezing point. But it will not stay long on the surfaces) it has a "melting" look...

Ziggy I was scrolling down to say that !!!
Looks like you got the snow pretty bad in the south east . Good photos. It seems as deep as December 2010. We had freezing hail yesterday about 1/2" it froze making the roads tricky . All gone now.
With a bit of luck you won't be able to get to work tomorrow.

Took these last night just before it stopped snowing, when I went out this morning to feed the birdies it was deeper than I first thought, we had a good 4-5 inches.....well it did snow steadily for nearly 6 hours.....:D

I like the 3rd one out of the kitchen window, kind of looks quite eerie......:WINK1: :D

You're right Maksim, it was good old English snow,:D kind of wet, rather than the powder type you get at lower temperatures.
Having said that, the temperature has not risen hardly at all above zero all day, so I think its going to be around for a while.

As to the "for sale" sign, I made it myself if you dont mind, I have been know to do a bit of carpentry now and then:).

A few from my garden today.
This snow seems to stick to everything, it's coated this teasel head beautifully....

....and this Parsley seed head left over from last autumn....

Not much use for a garden seat or a sundial at the moment....

Got some Rockwool blankets around my Bananas & Cordylines to keep the cold out. The Trachy in the foreground has a new spear .
