Cloud rolled in at 7PM and lifted temperature form -7C to -4C (@11PM)

Barometer is 1045 ... I always think of 1050 as very high, and 950 as very low ... and 950 would make for a heck of a storm ... dunno what 1050 does? (well, in the middle of Summer I guess we would be sunbathing ... although I did get nearly 30kWh off the solar panels today ...)

Temp slowly dropping so I reckon it will reach -6 in the middle of the night and then rise rapidly to about -1 and stay there most of the day.

we dropped to approx -8 degrees C overnight

according to United Kingdom : Weather Underground (which I find to be the most accurate) tonight looks even worse:

    Wednesday Night
[IMG]Mostly cloudy in the evening, then overcast. Fog overnight. Low of -11°C with a windchill of -14°C. Unseasonably cold. Winds from the ENE at 5-15 km/h.

Currently -3.9C at Old Trafford cricket club, which is about ten minutes from me [IMG]

Forecast says sleet tomorrow and then rain Friday/Saturday, so it's gonna warm up.

I've got loads of young plants in my garden which I planted last year. So far they've fared well but I do worry that if we have a prolonged cold spell they will suffer.

No where near the coldest night here, down to -4 here, currently -3, we had temperatures down to -9 last week....

Frosts are forecast every night here for more or less the next week, but day time temps rising slightly each day and frosts getting less harsh...

It's -1C at the moment and should soar to 0C - or even higher - during the day.

About 5-6" of snow on the ground, - 7 during the day and an average of -12 at night here. All the flower buds have had it on my Camellias. :( Bonus is,the land looks pretty. :)

(I've already posted some snowy pics here in other threads.)
This is one of the sheep field. Shame the photos don't show how sparkly it is. :)
