    Assuming you've not got any Hogwarts students round there, I can see an upward streamer of charged electrons resulting in "Ball Lightning"

    Did it implode with a pop?

                there was a few threads on a forum last year about a strange UFO type thingy filmed in Israel

                there was a light in the sky that was stationary .... then a giant flash of light came down to the earth .... looks similar to the pic

                not sure what the outcome of the video was, but from what I read it was difficult to dismiss as fake and there was a lot of discussion

                if I can find the youtube video, I will post it here
