    I feel for them. What a personal and business setback.

    Short of health issues, this must be one of the most upsetting things can can happen to anyone. Your home and possessions gone, just like that.

      Don't worry about Hugh, he doesn't live there, this place is a farm complex miles from where the original River Cottage is.

      Doubt if his business will suffer too much, loss of a few course bookings & customers for a while.

      He's still got the shop & restaurant in Axminster, the revenue from all the books, tv shows etc.

      One of our members went out on the River Cottage "cook what you catch" fishing trips some years ago, he had a fantastic day, but the cost per head was £275 as far as I remember.

      Most i've paid for a 8 hour deep sea fishing trip was £35. So, not wanting to trivialise the fire, which was not good news, I don't think we need worry about Hugh suffering too much about it.

      And.. there's the TV show he'll make about the whole incident to look forward to.
