Fabio Capello has resigned as England manager. What are the odds on Harry Redknap being offered the job now that he`s been cleared of tax fraud?
Pearce in the interim, Redknapp after the match at the end of the month. I doubt they'll announce anything until after that. I'll have a word with Pearce when I see him next though and see what he says. Would like to see him stick with the under 21s, he's been a rock for the upcoming players and I think a strong foundation is what our national squad has needed for a while (among other things).
Being a Welshman I hate to say this, but, Pearce coaching the youngsters under the tutelage of Redknap would be a very powerful management set up for England. It would also give the FA Redknaps successor when he decided to retire.
Fabio can afford to resign, it'll look good and righteous to a lot of people. I understand if Redknap is made Manager he wants to be paid in an overseas account.:D What good was Fabio anyway............when he was on the team he never scored even one goal!:happydance::DOH:
It was an account he had forgotten about and was in his pet dog's names, it's an honest mistake, any one of us could easily have forgotten about having the odd £189k sloshing around :o He did do a pretty good Tommy Cooper impression though ...
Fabio never understood the culture, you see, that was the problem. Never even mastered basic English phrases such as 'sick as a parrot', 'we was robbed' or 'the boys dun good'.
Now, Redknap has possibilities. As he said recently, he can't spell and he writes like a two year old. As long as he continues to speak like one, he'll do fine.
Personally I admire Fabio for saying what he thought. The trouble is it dont fit in the PC UK, in Italy he would have got applauded. (just guessing). It was never a great idea to have an Italian as an England manager anyway, or a Swede come to think of it.
I totally disagree. Being an impartial observer ( yeah, right ) I would say he actually delivered several glorious own goals.
If England want to win anything in the near future, Pearce should not be involved, simply not good enough, as he has shown at club level, and how terrible the u-21s played in the summer, despite having Jones & Smalling as his two centre-backs, who should now be starting for the full team.
Harry Redknapp's trial for tax evasion highlights lack of transparency within football - Telegraph snip: “I can’t write, so I don’t keep anything. I’m the most disorganised person, and I’m ashamed to say, in the world. I can’t work a computer, I don’t know what an email is. I have never sent a fax, or a text message.” Hmmm .... sounds like the right guy to be England's manager?

One thing we get with Redknapp : Good football. So who'd rather lose playing terrible defensive football? I'd rather they lost giving it a go. Having said that, I do not support England.. don't care who they appoint, tbh.
