Classic boys annual Ziggy. The Lion was good , but I got the ultimate one the Eagle ! Dan Dare and his sidekick Digby from Wigan , versus the Mekon :yess: Also Harris Tweed..can't recall any more characters.

 

Also of course Prof. Peabody (Early Lara Croft??) and the Mekon's sidekick Sondar.

And don't forget, in those far off Cold War days, all the Ruskies had to do if they wanted information on the latest military hardware was to open the centre-spread and study the cutaway pictures of battleships, aircraft carriers, fighter planes, bombers etc., etc.,

I did have a few Eagle Annuals, Mum threw them out, along with the first 5 Editions of a new comic, can't remember what the title was but it had the beginings of Spiderman & the Hulk.

I'd changed it when I went to pay the papers & Mum didn't find out it was 1/- instead of the tanner that my old comic was for a month.
